Meet Rachael

Hello loves, welcome!

I am passionate about connection - our connection to nature, rebuilding our relationship with the wild, trusting ourselves in identifying the native plants that surround us as well as beneficial and edible plants fungi and herbs, and our connection to ourselves, our bodies, through mindful movement and breath. I have experienced first hand how damaging the all too common disconnection can be, suffering with chronic eczema and IBS whilst working in London. I healed myself through yoga, dietary and lifestyles changes, turning to the more supportive and nourishing plant medicines as an alternative to the pharmaceutical solutions which often did me more harm than good.

I have always been fascinated by nature. Making food, potions and teas from wild herbs, plants and fungi. I have been practicing as a home herbalist for a number of years.

I have been practicing yoga on an off since I was little -  it was a straightforward transition for me from feeling the powerful benefits of the practices of yoga and meditation to wanting to share those benefits with others and becoming a teacher myself.

I have amassed over 500 hours of study with different schools of yoga, at the Sivananda Ashram in Kerala, where the traditional and devotional elements of the practice are key, with The Yoga People in London, focussing on Ashtanga and Rocket yoga, and now my journey continues with my teacher Tiffany Cruikshank and the Yoga Medicine family.
